BalanceBeacon Terms of Use

Effective Date: August 17, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Elytron Consulting LLC (“Elytron,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of the BalanceBeacon mobile application (“BalanceBeacon” or the “App”).

By downloading, accessing, purchasing, or using BalanceBeacon, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the BalanceBeacon Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of entering into this agreement.

If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms for you.

You may not use BalanceBeacon where its use would violate applicable law.

2. What BalanceBeacon provides

BalanceBeacon is a manual cash-flow planning and forecasting tool.

The App uses information you enter or import to:

• Estimate future account balances.
• Identify potential financial shortfalls.
• Display upcoming income and expenses.
• Illustrate possible debt-payment paths.
• Track savings goals.
• Indicate whether a planned purchase appears affordable under your selected assumptions.

Features and calculations may change as BalanceBeacon is updated.

3. No financial account access

Marking an item paid, missed, or received changes only the App’s local forecast.

You remain responsible for completing and verifying every real-world transaction.

4. Not financial, legal, tax, or accounting advice

BalanceBeacon provides estimates for informational and planning purposes only.

Elytron is not a:

• Bank.
• Lender.
• Financial adviser.
• Fiduciary.
• Credit counselor.
• Broker.
• Accountant.
• Tax adviser.
• Law firm.

BalanceBeacon’s results do not constitute financial, investment, credit, legal, tax, or accounting advice.

5. Your information and responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• The accuracy and completeness of information you enter or import.
• Keeping balances, dates, amounts, confirmations, and assumptions current.
• Reviewing forecasts before acting.
• Confirming real transactions with the relevant institution, merchant, employer, or creditor.
• Protecting access to your device.
• Maintaining any backups or original files you need.
• Having the legal right to use every workbook or file you select.

Forecasts may be inaccurate if information is outdated, incomplete, mistyped, delayed, duplicated, incorrectly confirmed, or otherwise inaccurate.

6. License

Subject to these Terms and the applicable app-store rules, Elytron grants you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable, and non-transferable license to install and use BalanceBeacon on devices you own or control.

You may not:

• Copy, distribute, rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit BalanceBeacon.
• Reverse engineer or decompile the App except where applicable law expressly permits it.
• Bypass subscription, access, or security controls.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App.
• Introduce malicious code.
• Use BalanceBeacon for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes.
• Use Elytron’s name or BalanceBeacon’s branding without authorization.

7. Subscriptions

BalanceBeacon currently offers the following auto-renewing subscriptions:

• Weekly: $2.99 per week.
• Monthly: $9.99 per month.
• Yearly: $69.99 per year.

Prices may vary by country, currency, taxes, or app-store pricing changes. The price and billing period displayed by Apple App Store or Google Play when you confirm the purchase control.

A 7 day free trial is available on the yearly plan for eligible new subscribers. The weekly and monthly plans do not include a free trial.

Unless you cancel before the trial period ends, the free trial converts automatically into a paid yearly subscription at the price listed above, and the applicable app store charges your account.

Trial eligibility, availability, and duration are determined by the Apple App Store or Google Play and may differ by account, device, or region. The trial terms displayed by the applicable app store when you confirm the purchase control.

Your subscription automatically renews, and the applicable app store charges your account for each new billing period unless you cancel before the store’s renewal deadline.

Subscription features remain available while the applicable store reports that your entitlement is active.

8. Cancellation and refunds

You must manage or cancel your subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play account used to make the purchase.

Cancellation generally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period unless the applicable store or law provides otherwise.

Apple or Google controls:

• Payment processing.
• Renewal timing.
• Cancellation processing.
• Refund eligibility.
• Refund processing.

Nothing in these Terms limits a cancellation, refund, or consumer right that cannot legally be waived.

9. App-store terms

Your use of BalanceBeacon is also subject to the terms of the app store from which you obtained it.

If these Terms conflict with mandatory app-store terms, the mandatory app-store terms control to the extent of the conflict.

Apple and Google are not responsible for providing maintenance or support for BalanceBeacon except where required by their terms or applicable law.

To the extent permitted by the applicable platform terms, the relevant app-store provider and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the license provisions in these Terms and may enforce those provisions.

10. Local data and risk of loss

BalanceBeacon currently stores financial-planning information locally on your device.

Elytron does not provide a BalanceBeacon cloud account, cloud synchronization service, or account-based backup and recovery service.

The following actions or events may permanently erase local information:

• Uninstalling BalanceBeacon.
• Clearing application storage.
• Resetting or erasing the device.
• Losing the device.
• Device failure.
• Operating-system actions.
• Corruption or failure of local storage.

Elytron cannot retrieve device-only information.

You are responsible for retaining original workbooks and other financial records you need.

11. Privacy

The BalanceBeacon Privacy Policy explains how information is handled and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

You acknowledge that locally stored information is subject to the security of your device and any backups maintained by you or your device platform.

12. Ownership

BalanceBeacon, its software, design, lighthouse branding, text, calculations, graphics, and other content are owned by Elytron or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws.

You retain ownership of the information and files you provide.

If you voluntarily provide feedback or suggestions, Elytron may use them without restriction or compensation. Do not include confidential financial information in feedback.

13. Updates and availability

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of BalanceBeacon.

We do not guarantee that the App will always be:

• Available.
• Uninterrupted.
• Error-free.
• Compatible with every device.
• Capable of reading every workbook.
• Accurate under every financial scenario.

Features, calculations, subscription benefits, and device requirements may change over time.

14. Termination

You may stop using BalanceBeacon at any time.

Uninstalling the App does not cancel a subscription.

We may suspend or terminate your license if you materially violate these Terms.

Provisions concerning ownership, disclaimers, liability, disputes, and other provisions that should reasonably survive termination will remain in effect.

15. Disclaimer of warranties

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

16. Limitation of liability

These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

17. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Elytron and its owners, affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and licensors harmless from third-party claims, liabilities, losses, damages, judgments, and reasonable expenses arising from:

• Your unlawful use of BalanceBeacon.
• Your material violation of these Terms.
• Your use of a workbook or information you did not have the right to use.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your location must apply.

Courts with jurisdiction in Georgia will have jurisdiction over disputes unless applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

Before filing a claim, you and Elytron agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve the dispute by contacting the address below.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as BalanceBeacon, our business, or legal requirements change.

We will revise the Effective Date and provide any additional notice required by applicable law.

Your continued use of BalanceBeacon after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.

20. General terms

If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

Elytron’s failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. Elytron may assign them in connection with a merger, reorganization, sale, financing, or transfer of BalanceBeacon.

These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Elytron concerning BalanceBeacon, subject to mandatory app-store terms.
